This is a fair that is aimed at linking the service providers along the Dairy value chain with the dairy farmers. It will address the challenges faced by dairy farmers especially in Tanga as documented in various research papers and surveys that have been conducted in the region such as; High dependence on rain in animal feed production leading to fluctuations of milk production during the dry seasons, Limited access to inputs and modern milk handling equipment, Poor breeding practices, Low milk production density, Poor Animal nutrition remains a major problem in production of satisfactory milk yields and Limited access to finance.

The organizers expect that the fair will also expose dairy farmers to a range of professional service providers, amongst whom, farmers will select those that they will work with on a contractual basis, at the Milk Collection Centre level, for easily accessible and affordable Dairy Input and support services.
