Introduction
On 23rd August 2014, a consortium of organisations under the
Agri-ProFocus Tanzania umbrella namely; AMSHA Institute of Rural
Entrepreneurship and Tanzania Graduate Farmers Association (TGFA) in
partnership with ANSAF, Africare and LIMAS will hold the Lindi and
Mtwara road show. The road show aims to embrace agribusiness
opportunities for youth employment by bringing key stakeholders in the
agriculture sector to share experiences and best practices/achievements
made by youth led enterprises and initiatives while addressing
opportunities and challenges for youths engagement in agriculture value
chains.
The Motto for TYIAF Lindi and Mtwara Road show is: “Kilimo Biashara ndio Mpango Mzima”which translates to “Agribusiness is a whole plan”
This road show follows is a continuation of the fulfillment Tanzania Youth in Agribusiness Forum (TYIAF) objectives which aim to:
- Acknowledge achievements and address by sharing challenges of Youth Agribusiness Enterprises, youth role models, young Agro entrepreneurs and projects which support youths.

Share knowledge on existing opportunities and how best to tap into
these opportunities through empowering youth and addressing their
challenges.

Share the APF Tanzania online platform so that youth can use the
platform to share, discuss, network and conducting business through the
online market place.

Design and implement strategies for business partnership and knowledge sharing so as to engage more youth into Agribusiness.

Promote coordination among youth support projects and programs whether public or non state actors

Provision of a single multi stakeholder platform where key
stakeholders for agriculture and youth development will meet in
roundtable to share, exchange experience, realize opportunities and
strengthen their efforts in promoting youth employment through
entrepreneurship.
We expect that at the end of the road show;
- Youth and agriculture key stakeholders will be well informed of the Agribusiness opportunities and supporting initiatives in Lindi and Mtwara regions.
- There will be a better understanding of policies and initiatives that support agribusiness and youth development

Youth and stakeholders will have a better understanding of the APF
Tanzania network and the role of the online platform in promoting farmer
entrepreneurship.

Networks and linkages will be developed to nurture aspiring and
growing entrepreneurs including promotion of Public Private
Partnerships.

Collaboration and partnerships to as road map for youth capacity
building events such mobilization, entrepreneurship trainings, business
development, business competition and advocacy for conducive environment
for youth investment in Agribusiness Opportunities.

Show Casing/Exhibiting your Products or Services Interested youth led enterprises, institutions and companies who wish to exhibit and showcase their services and products are requested to express their interest to one of the contacts listed below. We encourage Organizations, companies and youths to use this chance to showcase their products and services for publicity.
Sponsorship for attending There are limited and partial sponsorship opportunities to attend the forum. This chance is only available for those who will express their interests and commitment. Youth entrepreneurs in the agriculture value chains such as Horticulture, oilseed, poultry, beekeeping, dairy and agroforestry whether in production, processing value addition, promotion, transport, business advisory service and market links, input supply are encouraged to apply.
We also encourage capable Institutions or organizations to nominate or sponsor inspired and motivated youth led or representatives of model agribusiness enterprises to attend this useful networking and useful forum.

The Agri-ProFocus Tanzania Agri-Hub is an initiative of Agri-ProFocus, a partnership with Dutch roots that promotes farmer entrepreneurship in developing countries. In Tanzania, the Agri-Hub unites 49 companies and organisations, amongst which are SNV, Hivos, Tan Trade, TAHA, TRIAS, TCCIA, AMSHA, and TGFA, Agri-Hub Tanzania also provides an online platform (http://apf-tanzania.ning.com) which is like a marketplace, where professionals in agriculture and agri-business can form linkages, to learn, to do business and develop joint ventures.
